Tides of Sorrow (The Mortal Coil Series)

A COLD HEART WARMED BY A BROKEN ONE. A TEST OF FAITH AND DUTY. A LONGING FOR REDEMPTION. WHITBY, during the Goth Weekend. After rescuing her bag from a thieving youth, Cain, a conflicted yet chivalrous vampire, meets broken-hearted Becky. Instantly, he feels the need to protect her, sensing her pain and melancholy. In turn, Becky feels a strange allure emitting from Cain and finds herself drawn to this exotic, mysterious stranger, even though she has promised herself no more love affairs. The attraction is dangerously mutual, and she soon learns of his sorrow, his faith, his guilt – and his true identity. Reluctant to start with, eventually, and against all logic, she accepts she is in the company of a bona fide vampire. When a troupe of embittered Fallen Angels arrives with an insidious agenda, Cain and Becky find themselves unwittingly pulled into the middle of a battle—one that has been raging for millennia. They reveal truths that rock Cain’s faith to the core, not least that he is a weapon engineered to dethrone God for His unholy justice throughout history—in particular, for banishing the angels from Heaven. Amidst all his rage and pain brought forth by his adversaries, combat ensues between himself and the Fallen. And during the fight – he transforms anew. – ASIN: B0D96SSZBL | ISBN13: 9798324115470 | ISBN-13: 979-8324115470
