When you are naked and exposed to winter’s harsh decree, Use the time to confront your inner demons so your soul can be free.”” From the poem ‘Be your own kinda divine’ “”What happened to those curious eyes? Why did you let go of the joys from your silly highs? Was it the rules or the societal lies? Or was it all the beliefs that made you guise?”” From the poem ‘Thirties’ “”Caring less about what the world has to say, Trusting more what my heart wants to embrace. Shutting out the external noise, Going within to find my own voice. 30s, what hast thou done? You’ve taken a lot from me, But you’ve given a lot more. No race feels worthy to any degree, Only I feel more worthy of love and joy than ever before. 30s, thank you for all that you’ve done!”” From the poem ‘Right or kind?’ “”For life has come a full circle, I’m beginning to see the need for reversal, And this pattern seems universal. Having lost my way in the jungle, I finally found my way home, albeit with some struggle, And I now feel like I belong, without any trouble.”” From the poem ‘Whose mercy are we living by?’ “”Authenticity is a choice we can make, Yet, we push that away to the mercy of societal or familial expectations. Fulfillment is a choice we can make, Yet, we push that away to the mercy of external validation. Peace is a choice we can make, Yet, we push that away to the mercy of our unhealed trauma and triggers. Time, we showed ourselves some mercy.”” From the poem ‘The future is bright’ “”So much of what we all believed will cease to exist, There’ll be more kindness in all our midst, We’ll learn more about the world we dismissed, That the truth is within us and not out in the mist.”” – ASIN: 1068803304 | ISBN13: 9781068803307 | ISBN-13: 978-1068803307
