Description
Kuliat e Jaun Book wise collection of 6 poetry books (1) Shayad (2) Yani (3) Guman (4) Laiken (5) Goya, and (6) Ramooz Pages: 440 Jaun Elia was born on December 14, 1931, in Amroha, India. His father, Allama Shafique Hassan Elia, had a deep connection with art and literature. He was an astrologer and a poet, and Jaun’s nature was also shaped by these influences. Jaun Elia was very sensitive and his early poetry revolved around his imaginary beloved, Sofia. Despite being a student of Sayyad-ul-Madaris Amroha, he was against the partition of India due to his communist beliefs, but later reconciled. He migrated to Karachi, Pakistan in 1957. Soon, he became famous in the city’s literary circles for his diverse reading habits and vast knowledge. Jaun Elia was openly negationist and absconding, and became more cautious after his brother, Raees Amrohvi, was killed by religious extremists. As Jaun Elia was a Shia, his poetry often referenced Shia themes, and he had a special devotion to Hazrat Ali. He was proud of his lineage and ancestry. After a long illness, Jon Elia passed away on November 8, 2002, in Karachi. Besides poetry, Jaun was also involved in translation and editing. His knowledge of philosophy, logic, Islamic history, Sufism, religious science, Western literature, and the event of Karbala was vast and encyclopedic. He wrote monthly essays for a Karachi digest and was a popular Urdu poet, known for his complex and philosophical poetry. His poetry is full of depth and has many aspects, making him a beloved poet among the people. His six poetry collections have been published: “”Shayad”” (1991), “”Yani”” (2003), “”Guman”” (2004), “”Lekin”” (2006), “”Goya”” (2008), and “”Ramooz”” (2016). All these books are a treasure trove of Urdu poetry and help in understanding Jaun Elia’s poetic philosophy. There was a need to collect his valuable poetry in one place, which has been fulfilled by social media and websites. Now, his poetry has reached every corner of the world, and his philosophy has been disseminated. I have collected all his poetry, including 466 ghazals, 122 poems, and 63 quatrains, and arranged them book wise, making it easy for readers to find their desired poem and enjoy the pleasure of reading. – ASIN: B0D7QSJP63 | ISBN13: 9798327664173 | ISBN-13: 979-8327664173
